Hi,

Just a quick one because I know there are a couple of people on PH who work for Goodwood and I was just thinking that it seems to be about time for an announcement about this years Breakfast Clubs.

Anyone know when we might get an update?

Good morning!

The dates and themes for the 2023 Goodwood Breakfast Clubs will be announced later this month. Anyone who has attended a Breakfast Club before and who is opted in to receive communications from us should receive an email, and the announcement will also be on the Breakfast Club page on our website.

The exclusive GRRC Breakfast Club date has already been announced as Sunday 25 June and registration will open for this approximately six weeks before the event.

With best wishes,

Sarah
Thanks for contacting us & giving us an update. Need to get my new car cleaned and photographed now!

2020 there were 5 public breakfast clubs
2021 2 public breakfast clubs due to covid?
2022 4 public breakfast clubs
2023 3 public breakfast clubs
2024 2 public breakfast clubs
2025 the final public Goodwood breakfast club

You’ve read it here first!
Had a press release come up on my facebook which had come through from Goodwood that appeared to suggest this is indeed the case. The three announced would seem to be it.

Did anyone else go today?

Better than last year I thought, although we got there spot on 07-00 and left at 09-30 there were loads of people still coming in.

Better selection of cars than last year too. Mercedes hypercar, Gordon Murrays latest, Miura, a couple of Sennas, Metro 6R4, couple of P1s. Some good stuff.

(I'll be interested to know what getting out of the car park was like for people leaving later. The exit was turning into a bog even when we left.)

Was the Aston Zagato right by the main track entrance a replica too?

I was guessing it was because I would have thought if it was genuine it would need its own security detail!

That yellow Matra was remarkable too. Never seen a picture of one of those, let alone seen one in real life and everyone standing round the car seemed to be saying the same thing.

is it true this is the last year they're doing the breakfast clubs?
Source?
Warning! Possible controversial post ahead!

If they are planning to do this and it is based on the amount of disruption it causes the local residents, can I suggest that Goodwood try getting rid of Supercar Sunday first?

I used to love it. I mean where else would you see five F40s in one place like there was one year? But now it seems to have distorted into a gathering of social media freaks with their massive cameras, general show offs and knob jockeys in their assorted 10 year German wk wagons with the boost ragged up trying out knob their mates on the roads around the circuit and show up any "posh tt" trying to do the same thing in his Ferrari convertible.

Plus with the amount of people that gather at the entrance and at the roundabout, one of these days one of these muppets is really going to try to prove how big his penis is by spearing in off into the crowd and killing someone. That will put an end to Breakfast Clubs full stop.

My feeling is that the other Breakfast Clubs are more friendly, a more interesting selection of cars and just a nicer place to be on a Sunday morning.

There you go, flame away!
