So I got the cipo bond, got the di2. Now just need wheels. Budget 1200 ish, sure I'd love enve but can't spend that kinda money. I'm 110 kilo so limited really. Hunts look good but long lead time. I've heard good things about Reynolds strike/assault and habe ridden the ffwd 46 which I liked.
The other option was some mavic cosmics and get carbons when lighter..
What are your experiences?!

At your weight, I think you'll struggle with carbon weight limits. I think the ffwd 46 only take 100kg, most Hunt are less than 100kg. They have a 130kg aluminum rim brake. How much weight do/can/are you intending to lose?

Personally, being close to your weight, I always have my wheels built. Depends on what you're after, although Harry Rowland, DCR, Clinic Clinic etc would be able to help in some shape or form, although due to the time of year, lead times might not be too favourable.

I intend on getting down to 100 really and habe ridden ffwd and Reynolds which seemed to fair ok under me. Just don't want to lose big £££ through breaking one eventually!!

You could probably find some Enve wheels second hand, otherwise, I'd probably look at Reynolds. As a non-mainstream option, Parcours Velo got some good reviews recently in 220triathlon here leaving you with enough to get some cheaper box rims as well.

As per bigdom above.

Give Malcolm a call and see what he says about these.

He may be able to tweak the spoke for your weight and he will give you a straight answer. £1250 would stretch to lightish hubs and tubeless tyres.

Useful

Agree regarding handbuilt options, a good wheel builder will be able to advise on spoke count and rim/hubs. Wheelsmith.co.uk is a good place to start, Derek is a nice bloke to deal with and will look after you

Zipp Firecrest (303 or 404) have a published upper weight limit of 250lbs!

Giant carbon wheels are supposed to have a 275lb upper weight limit (info from Giant themselves).
