Swollen bruised hip, carry on ?

So slid off my bike last week, luckily the bike is fine...

Bit of road rash and a huge bruise to my right hip, went to the doc's today and they said the swelling is nothing to be concerned about but to take it easy.

How long should I take it easy for as it doesn't hurt when I ride, I was thinking about a few days.

Got a nice inflamed 'bursa' now, feels like someone's surgically implanted a boob implant on my hip

Don't really want to aggravate it and end up like a lop sided J-lo.
