Yep. Me and my daughter.
"We" aren't going to be quick! Aiming for around 10-11MPH average... and a finish.
Need to get some road tyres, lose the mudguards etc on my daughters bike to give her a fighting chance.
She has managed 23 miles in one day so far, on cycle paths. Plus 21 miles on Sunday in that 30 degree heat. I am hopeful that the ambience of the event will give her a boost.
To be honest the longest I have rode is 30 miles in one day, I tend to just commute to work or ride to my Mums etc."We" aren't going to be quick! Aiming for around 10-11MPH average... and a finish.

I believe I will be more than capable for the 54 miles and there are plenty of stop offs anyway.
It's all for a good day out anyway, I'd like to think I could average around 13-14 over the distance but who knows. Depends how hot it is on the day also.

I'll be doing it with lads from work.
We'll probably be the ones taking it far too seriously... Well I won't be.
I think the group I am going to be doing it are quite mixed, hopefully no one 'too slow', also hopefully I'm not that guy thats too slow, would like to think not We'll probably be the ones taking it far too seriously... Well I won't be.
I done the 62 in the end. Glad I done it but regretted it once I reached Shoeburyness seafront as those last few miles killed me.
The furthest I had done before was 25 miles at a sportive earlier in the year in Hertfordshire, the most I do in a day really is 20 and thats going to Halfords and back to visit my friend, so I'm quite happy with how I got on.
I nearly came off early on coming down from Chigwell, just by Grange Hill tube station, hit a bump and handlebars went everywhere.
I have recently changed handlebars and after that ride I had sore left wrist and i still have numbness in my left hand so that needs looking at also.
Oh and considering I thought it was going to rain, the some come out too play.
