Hopefully moving soon, going from a easy straight flat mile to an mainly flat 9miles with a few roads to cross. At the minute I'm using my old Cannondale F3 (link to spec).

I won't be doing the cycle every day, but would be good over summer to so 2 or 3 times a week.

Question is, do I slap some hybrid tyres on it, give it a service and use it, OR sell it and get something a bit more suited? I've always thought it's a little small for me (I get sore back of my legs too) and crusing to work, rather than any off roading. Cycle to work scheme available...

I've been doing it for a few days now, and it seems quite easy really. I am quicker than the bus, and easier that driving, as I can't park at the office, but can leave my bike.

Wind seems to be the biggest issue, it's horrible cycling into it, although it's slightly downhill on the way to work (see below), on the return I hope the wind is behind me. For the sake of £30 I may get 2 tyres to help out.

Doing door to door in under 30 minutes would be ideal. my first run was 38mins, and I'm down to 34 already.
