Hi anybody have any recommendations for theft cover for the above up to a value of 5k? I would even consider moving home and contents as mine will only cover to 3k.
I am getting quotes around £250+ when I have just renewed agreed value of 35k on my Mexico for £116 so these quotes hurts.

Those dedicated bicycle insurers are unreal - yellowjersey quoted me double what I pay for a latest model £17K Yamaha R1 !!!! Absolute joke!

We are insured with Aviva and have extension worldwide cycle cover (covers TP risk, theft etc worldwide) and it's based solely on the value of the most expensive bike - was about £40.
Just looked at Aviva but looks like they only cover to 3.5k!

I do it through my home cover with Barclays, I don't have any that expensive but I think they go up to £5k.

The standalone cover tends to assume you'll be leaving it in sheds, locked up in town, etc and you're doing well to get an annual premium much under 10% of value.
I have checked Barclays and yes they do cover 5k of bike for approx. £60 which I think is very reasonable but I noticed they only cover 3k of garage contents - present insurance covers 5k in the garage which I always thought was not enough. Guess you win some you loose some! Garage is attached to house has 2 alarm systems etc but because I blocked the door way from the house to garage up for extra security and to reduce the risk of a fire spreading they classed the garage as a separate building hence the limit!
