Hmmm, Ive read all this and the threads on SRS.
Still cant understand why the tyres banned.
SE is about road legal fast cars...end of.
Isnt the arguement against them the same kind of thinking that held back pro stock in the uk ? One guy at a meeting said...you know..a Lenco's a bloody expensive gearbox you know.
I think its a shame that the true ethos of the class wont let it develop.The point regarding costs is stupid, we all know how much the top boys have invested, and if I was the likes of anyone with 7 sec potential, it would frustrate the shit out of me to use an inferior tyre.
Problem is there is only one SE class to run in.....
Andy, how are you going to feel sat on the start line with MT's under the tubs as oppossed to drag radials? When all you're chasing is the clock, knowing the boots in the arches ARE GOING to cost you time, how do you maintain enthusiasm ?
Surely the temptation must be there to say screw SE , Im going for slicks and 6's ?
Tis a turning point for SE, which is prob one of the most popular classes out there I think.

Surely if the rules are set, you either play by them or leave ? not try and change them to your advantage ?
Would be a great shame if you left the sport Andy, you've prob done more single handedly to raise the sport/Class's profile over the years.
'Sides which, after all the work last year, you've gotta develope the Victor to its new heights.
