My dad has bought the above. Is the 2.2 diesel with 115k, fsh i believe.
Noticed that it was smoking very badly, even worse when putting foot down (turbo kicking in). Anyway he spoke to the garage (2hr drive away) and they had said it had new injectors, turbo etc so he could either bring it back or get his local garage to look at it. He decides on the latter and the local garage were unable to see what was wrong with it, maf, seals, turbo all checked etc.
So the car goes back to Basingstoke. 3x weeks later after he had been chasing them all the time (all sounded rather slow, lazy and typical of a dealer - delayed because their mechanic wasn't around, lol), managed to get it back and fixed. It apparently didn't have new injectors, so they fitted new ones.
However, i borrowed it and i could see (when driving normally and sensibly) in the rear view mirror that its smoking constantly, and i cant see that its fixed.
So, what could actually be causing it to smoke so much???
Thanks

update: the car finally died. i belive the timing chain stretched, so luckily didn't do as much damage as first thought.
Managed to get it fixed for £500 labour and parts from a friend. Honda and other indys wanted to charge in excess of £1500!!
To add, the garage sascron http://www.sascron.co.uk/ who had the car in a number of times to sort the smoking clearly did not have a fking clue, typical fking garage. They put new injectors in, but couldn't even fit one of the correctly.
I think garages should be regualated in some way given the amount of money peple spend on vehicles.
Anyway, i would not reccomend sascron whatsoever, ever!
Usless typical wker garage.
