So, after 2 years, I have decided the ZC31 Swift Sport has to go. Incredible fun, incredible value, but an opportunity to only need a car for the weekends is approaching, so something with a bit more power (at the expense of MPG) can be justified.

The FN2 looks good - the interior/exterior has dated well, seems to be quick and practical when needed, and with Eurospec being nearby the potential for a bit of tuning is there. However, with a budget of 6k, is there anything else worth considering? I would like to keep something NA and high revving, but turbo isn't completely excluded, but I would worry leaving a DC2 or S2000 outside the house. Is there anything outside of these 2 with this budget worth looking into?

FN2 is practical... and has a huge Room in the back, that was the reason for me to get it.
Part of the appeal - can jump between both when needed.

Thanks for the feedback so far -it will probably be one of these or something french...

An Accord R?

DC2 thrills on a budget.

You could get a really nice one for your budget- with change to make it go even better.

Be still my beating BTCC heart! - this is certainly the "budget" contender along side the Clio 172/182.

After doing some reading - the FN2 isn't doing it for me. The EP3 seems like a much more special car - and there's a fair few nice examples for around 3k. Will hopefully end up trying one back to back against a 182 cup. Accord Type R is too few and far between unfortunately!

Why not against the proper 172 cup ?

It came from the factory pre lightened , thinner glass , less sound deadening , no aircon/abs , and wider track.
I've seen a few FF Cups with both packs etc. All the creature comforts, just as fun, and i'm looking at the more unique colours - Racing Blue, Inferno Orange, Black Gold etc. - I personally think the looks have aged better than the EP3 as well...

Thanks for all the suggestions - my SSS was hit when parked and looks a write off - Which means my budget will be slashed unless i go on finance. Unexpected drop to around the 3.5k mark, but lots of nice EP3s for that mark!
