Evening,

Picked this up last week, a 1999 Civic EK4 vti vtec with the 1600 b16a2 (I think?) engine.

Two owner circa 86k and been really well looked after every MOT and tax disc I've never had a Honda before but always fancied ticking a vtec off my list.

Just doing a few basic checks before I start using it and getting to know the old girl.

Don't know a huge amount about the vti vtec so any info would be appreciated impulse purchase as was clearly a well looked after car. Had some quick front wheel drive hot hatches back years go before going V8 rwd and all wheel drive so looking forward to it.

The paint and bodywork is amazing.......except the very first signs of surface rust the paint hasn't broken yet and quite small but will need addressing. Shame really as the car is immaculate the electric tilt and slide sunroof is even greased and no leaks.

Paint colour is the scorching red pearl I bought a touch up pen earlier this week. Gave it a good wash ad polish yesterday as it's getting pushed into daily duties while my 911 has some power steering pipe changed on the rack. Thanks or the replies.

Had the touch up pen made by local auto paint place and perfect match touched up a few stone chips etc today and looked at the bits where the paint has started to bubble not broken through it's very early stage.

Looking forward to daily use.

The valve covering has started to peel off the cam cover, the black finish peeling. Worth swop for aftermarket covers or just live with or re paint.

Used it this week takes me back and really enjoy it.

Change from big capacity petrol (Had a 5.7 v8 petrol before my 3.4 6 cylinder porker) and the family diesels torque got back into my youth and love it.

Hopefully get it RR before Christmas as a base health check but I've got some love for this vti. Won't be getting rid.
