I have the first generation S2K currently with the 16" wheels and the lack of performance tyre is compelling me to upgrade to some OEM 17" wheels very soon. Looking at tyre choices out there, Michelin PS4 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 5, seem to rate well. Great review by Tyre reviews on Youtube.

With the current offers through Black Circles, buying 4 saves a few quid, Goodyear coming out more economical. Any experience of both tyres from S2K owners or any specific tyre I have missed?

Not looking to track, just fast road.

Thanks

I rate the Michelins.
Thanks tyre review suggested lack of PS4S variant made the driving not as "sporty"

I have had no issues with the Goodyear Asynch, mine are a few years old and are only the Asynch 3's. I cant imagine either choice would be a bad one.
Yes, probably right. Goodyear's come in around £50 cheaper with current offers..

If you do pick the Goodyears make sure you get the extra load version. I've had assym. 2's on mine for years but always hated the sidewall flexing (did not have the XL version) otherwise they were excellent. I've just replaced them for PS4's and I'm really happy so far! Turn in feels so much nicer. Obviously that's partly due to being new tyres, but they feel much stiffer. The S2000 really needs tyres with stiff sidewalls.
For the front 215/45/17, cannot seem to find extra load tyres.. Only on the rears 245/40/17 can I find XL.

Thanks, looking on black tyres, seems the Goodyear have the XL only, no Michelin in those sizes, which is odd..
