1.5 VTEC Turbo Sport

I'm picking one up soon and have done a bit of research. Everywhere seems to sing praise for it, not really found any negatives.
Apparently people get an oil dilution issue, but this only seems to be in the USA for some reason.
People in the UK are getting failing turbos on the 1.0 version but I can't find any reports on the 1.5.
It comes with a 12 month dealer warranty but its if its worth paying for one still after, I've had one on my Cupra at quite a cost incase because of how expensive repairs are... I managed to get an £800 water pump done on it.
Anybody have any first hand experience?

I'm coming from a DSG Cupra 280 which I guess is comparable to the Type R version, I've been doing 3k miles a year the last few years so I just don't need the power and the cost anymore.
I saw a couple of Prestige for the same price and I like the leather seats but I like the all black accents and centre exhausts on the Sport, its a marmite car but I think it stands out nicely amongst so many hum drum cars around now.

The 1.5 gives pretty much the same MPG at motorway speed as the 1.0, and it has a chain rather than belt. I have the very common Bluespark box fitted which lifts boost a bit and gives useful extra torque, yet mpg remains the same for me.
I would imagine any work requiring a warranty would have showed it head and been sorted by now, so wouldn’t pay extra for one.

Also I forgot to add its a CVT box one, I've been in DSG for the past 10 years or so, never driven one yet but I'm expecting it to be much smoother but less sporty I guess.
Picked the car up and I'm happy with it.
It is as I expected, smooth drive and power is adequate but I've taken a huge hit in torque compared to the Cupra and I feel it.
The steering and handling of the car does still feel very sporty though and its a nice place to sit.
I'll look into getting the plug in box in the future if I need to take it up a notch.

That’s a known problem on some cars. The sensors don’t seal well in the grill and lets some water through. It’s a warranty replacement. And some have reported that Honda changed their grill for free even out of warranty.

I do have a 1 year comp warranty buying it from a main dealer group as well though.

Was it worth the swap? I had a 290 DSG and it was good on fuel, good to drive, perfect daily. I'm not really convinced you're going to save much really. Each to their own though.
When I had the Leon my mate had a manual 1.5 Turbo Sport of the same era. Was a nice car but not a patch on the Cupra in any regard!

Its a good cruiser and I actually like the interior and the car more than a Leon but the CVT makes it feel like you have no control over your rate of acceleration which is strange but its quick enough, just nothing like the Cupra.
There were a few other factors involved which make it make sense to me also so I don't regret the swap.
