Hello all,

New around here. 30 year old learner driver looking to get back on the road for some experience.

I'm looking at used cars and have come across a Honda Jazz Sport DSI 1.4 for £1,275.

I've checked its last MOT history and the owner has fixed the below:

Repair immediately (Major defects)

Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))

But the last MOT despite a pass has the below as advisories:

Underside chassis, sub frames and suspension components corroded

Probably a silly question, but would this be a terrible purchase and guarantee welding work in the coming months when I pass my test?

If so, in my search, would there be anything else to look out for, particularly with the Jazz and Civic lines?
