going to list the wife's old car next week on ebay, just wondering what would be a realistic price to put on it. It's a '94 1.6 ESi - got a couple of rust bubbles, couple of dings and scrapes though generally reasonably good for year, but more importantly it's got no MOT due to a cracked windscreen, and it's started smoking on hard acceleration.

Not looking to make my fortune on it but on the other hand don't want to give it away at a time I'm planning an expensive extension!!!

hope you won't take offence but even 'with MOT' i'd expect change from £500 -
unless there was something special about the 'Esi' model?

did it have the 123bhp V-TEC lump? - in any case old cars are hard to shift.

no offence taken - that's pretty much what I'd figured, if it is only worth £50 I'll scrap it and save the hassle of the sale, if it's worth £250 then it'll pay for the insurance on the wife's Celica so worth the effort!

Yeah tis the V tec lump BTW.
