With circuit days if any one is interested.

Anyone going? and what in?

I've booked a garage, because its feb and probably raining, the garages are easily big enough for 2 cars, i've only got 1 so if any one fancies coming if halfs with me it would only be £25 each?

Good stuff, I'm in my E36 328. I'll be the one tiptoeing round if its wet with my right indicator on!

(ETA: the half garage offer has now been taken up)

If seen 6-8 cars run out of 1 silverstone (national pits) garage in the Birkett.

If it's raining you could sublet the garage out at inflated rates and cover the costs of your trackday!

Need, probably not, advantages worth the money of a garage, definitely.

Assuming dry day:
Every time u want to come in you can stop in front of your garage instead of having to drive out to the paddock. So a quick tyre pressure check for eg is easier.
Keep out of the elements whilst working on the car. (wind / sun)
power hookups
toilets sink etc.

Assuming Wet day:
all of the above but the elements are far more minging.

So for £25 (split garage) worth every penny imo for my type of car (E36 race car). other car types could argue more or less important depending on open top race car or unmodified daily.

I won't be recording on a track day.

But here is me at Silverstone GP Earlier on

Everyone on Kumho V70s hard compound, renowned for being crap in the wet. Not massively interesting races.

Wet track race:

Properly wet race:

Much more interesting wet & damp races up at Croft with the NSSCC, free tyre choice:

Damp track 27th to 14th

Wet track 26th to 10th (lots of car made the wrong tyre choice, as it starting spitting just as we were about to grid up and lots stuck with drys)

Ooo go on who were the couple of individuals. (hope its not me! boxedin )

Yea i thought it was a very good day, nice mix of cars on track.

Saw you out in the puma a few times, you got much brake pad left? there was plenty of brake dust coming of the front pads when i was behind you in the braking zone at the end of 1 of the big straights. obviously driving the car to its limits thumbup

The hour stop for 2 red flags was abit annoying, i didn't see the crash though, and apart from that not many red flags at all i think!
