single brake setup or road&track set?
Discussion
i track my daily driver ('15 FK2 CTR) and theres a fair bit of talk about which pads to go with. pagid RS29's being the preferred top performing pads.
as for discs, theres very little available; OEM discs (£140/ea) and either 2peice non-floating tarox or girodisc (both £800+/pair).
doing a fair bit of research into the rs29's, it seems theres not a small group of people who say they're not really suitable for the road/year-round use.
currently i run OEM discs with ProjectMu HC800 fronts, and Dixcel Z's on the rear for road & track use.
obviously having road & track brakes would save in the (very) long run - can pretty much go for OEM discs & pads for the road which is vastly cheaper than performance options.
what gets me is having over £1k of brakes sat in the garage for 3-4 track days/yr.
