Hello All,

I admit this is a little different to usual (feel free to move it if its in the wrong section).

I was wondering if you can spectate on a trackday at Snetterton?
I just wanna practice some motorsport photography and this seems like a great opportunity before the main events of next year.

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks

It’s no problem at all.

Anyone can turn up to a track day and spectate / take photographs.

I’ve had a work friend turn up a couple of times to practice his photography skills.
Excellent, I am pleased to hear this!

Sounds like it's also worth while going to increase the skills too.

Thanks

That goes for any track by the way, but some are more accessible than others.

I think Cadwell stands out by virtue of the fact that the access paths go right round the circuit.
Oh awesome, thats even better then!

Now thats what you call access eh. I can definitely tell that Snetterton is more accessible than Silverstone but then again I guess Silverstone is a Grade 1 circuit so it needs more protection?

But thankyou!

If you go to the stand (I hesitate to call it a grandstand... you'll know what I mean when you see it!) next to the café at Snetters you get a good view of nearly the whole circuit and I would of thought it would be a good vantage point for 'photos.
Ah is that the Agostini stand?

You'd be able to wander up onto the pit wall as well. The best photos I've seen are taken as cars reach the end of Bentley straight and enter the complex under the Bridge. I've no idea where the photographer stands, but I guess you can access it easily enough near to the stand by Bombhole.

Also don't try Bedford - it's the one track that isn't geared up for spectating.
I can get on the pit wall?
Also do you know if I can get to the inside of Riches / Outside of Palmer at all? I'd like to have a look there.
The end of the straight is where I've sat for the BTCC for the last 11 years haha. Great place to watch from, defo will be getting some from that area.

Thanks very much!

No issues getting into Snett - I often pop in if i'm passing with work and grab a coffee, whilst seeing whats going on...

As echo'd above, take a pushbike if you want multiple viewing points. Its big and open!
Ah sweet, that's pretty awesome!! Defo will be going then!

The only problem is I can't fit a bike in my car and I don't have one of those bike rack thingies. But I've been several times before so I know what to expect haha
