alternative to rx8 for track toy

After some ideas.

I was going to get a boxster s for a bit of track/country fun.

But i thought wouldnt it be great to let my mates drive it too.

So whats good upto say 3k? so if they write it off i wont be mad.

Needs to be able to drift to some degree for drift days.

mx5 sounds good as not too heavy on consumables

I cant be arsed to trailer again so has to be road worthy & tolerable - am getting old.

i know zero about mx5. What to go for? Do they have lsd stock? can they take track abuse stock?

Had an rx8 for track a while ago and it was crap i thought. But the thought of 1k investment is hard to beat.

Can an mr2 be used on drift days? I doubt it has enough power?

I think this one has come down in price a bit. Anyone got a gauge in if it’s well priced? Strong money for an 8 yr old MX-5?

Any idea if 6ft4 people will fit in this. Especially with a lid on.

Maybe vx220t also. Not sure how nice that would be on drive to track tho. A Westfield could be trailered however.
