....what car do you drive?

I've had an absolute nightmare with bucket seats because I'm a bigger boy...bought a couple of sprint L seats as I was advised they 'should fit into my mx5 na (they didn't) ...tried to fit into the standard sprint seat for my NA Mx5 and there's just no chance...the frame of the standard seat is literally resting on my hip bones

So I've come to the realisation I need to get a bigger car...I've got two Sprint L seats sat in the garage not doing anything, so the next car I get needs to be big enough to get them in

I'm eyeballing an e36 or 46 328/330 at the min but I'd love a couple of other options for comparison

Thanks in advance

Which dimensions are stopping you fitting them into the NA? You might find another bucket will fit you and the NA, demon tweeks usually have the dims for their buckets in the listings.
base width unfortunately. doesn't even get close...it's a tiny car at the end of the day so I knew it would be a squeeze

A mate of mine has those seats and has had them in a Clio 197 and now a Megane Sport

Do you have a bucket seat in it? If so which one?

Low-end OMP steel tube seats fit in Classic 5s and are a fair bit wider. I can sit in one easily and Im 6'3" and 17 stones. Theyre harder to mount though, and will need more than simply bolting in. Id suggest a regular leather NB2 seat with a foamectomy and a CG-Lock or similar on the seat belt to hold you in place. Failing that Id be looking at Lotus Elise seats, from original to later types with slots, to aftermarket GRP types. There will certainly be something to accommodate your chonky ass.
Nice one will check those options out (along with the salads!)
