Just seeing if anyone knows the answer to this before asking when I renew.

When you take out road insurance there is obviously clauses in the policy which state that you aren’t covered when driving on track days or the Nurburgring etc.
Does this mean you can’t do a track day in your road car at all or your policy will be void?
Or is it saying you can, but any accidents on track aren’t covered?

I imagine it’s the latter as you could just lie and say any damage occurred on a public road.

Asking as I’d like to take my car on track but don’t know if you need a road policy which includes track days.
Car is low value so I wouldn’t need specific track cover.

Thanks

Yeah basically I’d take it on the chin if anything happened.
Just trying to understand the wording of the road policy.
Reads like you can’t do a track day full stop, whether anything happens or not.
