I need a favour....
Discussion
I am applying to university and sending off my UCAS application today.
I have typed up my personal statement but it does need grammar and spell checking, I also have a tendency to put capital letters in where they shouldn't be and use way too many commas.
So can a few kind PHer's please volunteer for me to shoot it over to them to have a going over for me, any development around what should be in/left out in regards to subject matter/better wording etc is welcomed as well.

Got a reply from 2 out of my 5 UCAS choices so far. Been offerred a place at both. One of them specifically said this.
"My descision to offer you a place was determined by the good quality of your personal statement and potential you demonstrated to suceed on the course"
So thanks to the PH'ers that had a look or offerred to, I cannot thank you all enough.
I will update with the other three when they reply.

I just thought I should check back in here to give you guys an update.
I have recieved offers from all of my 5 university choices, all for Masters no less. I had an interview yesterday at a well respected RG university and the lecturer that I had it with said that she was specifically impressed by my personal statement and how much my passion came through when reading it. she then told me I would definitly be recieving an offer and they would love to see me studying there.
So just to close, those that gave your advice, help and time, it has been invaluable and I cannot thank you enough.

Today I have just received the news I have successfully got an internship at a very good company based at MIRA in Nuneaton doing Engine Calibration stuff! Feels like a dream
Just want to say thanks to all that has contributed previously in the thread, never ever imagined in a million years I would be in this position.

Just want to update this with a conclusion.
Today I did my final exam and in a couple of months I will graduate. My internship was amazing, I learned so much.
Just want to say thanks to those who contributed and if anyone knows of any graduate jobs for a capable automotive engineer, let me know. I have industry experience and willing to travel

I graduated last year and am currently doing my masters. In December I applied for about 20 jobs, companies I knew and a few on a website called Grad cracker. I was lucky to get a few interviews at big names and was offered one of the jobs. Today I did my final exam and in a couple of months I will graduate. My internship was amazing, I learned so much.

A lot of companies have suspended recruitment for the time being, Ricardo and Mahle have I believe, in addition to Triumph. I'll have a little look and see if I can see anything, is there any location you prefer?
Also how did you find working at Mira? My new job is based there and starting in August
MIRA was good, you'll like it, all the facillities are good and if you are based there im sure you'll end up making use of them eventually. You get to see lots of amazing cars, most of which arent in the public eye yet! One of my personal highlights was spending an afternoon with the window open listening to a BTCC car flying round one of the handling tracks at 10/10ths.
