Shortest Employment?
Discussion
Being a strange year and looming lockdown things hitting again thought I should get a job for someone else for the short term till after Xmas and see where everything is.
Found a 3 month temp worker listed as a fairly interesting sounding but un educated role. On a 4 on 4 off rota, pay was decent compared to what else was available local. Boy was I wrong. Job description was wildly misleading.
Lasted one night shift before wanting to jump off a bridge and blow homeless men for money as it would be more interesting.
The job was basically putting leaflets for inside of boxes onto a tray for 12 hours. About 18 people there doing similar jobs but different steps. One of them is having a mini going away thing... she has been at it for 20 years and is dropping to the 2 day a week shift. Manager asks how many other people have been with her for this time, 6 people put their hands up. I think I used 2 brain cells all night.
Don’t think I’m cut out for that type of work!
Anyone lasted less than a day?
