I was due to go to have a look and drive this morning(Saturday) but received a call at 18:22 last night telling me that a deposit had been placed on it - disappointed, but congratulations to the new owner. From the video I received it looks superb outside at least. I couldn't really tell about the inside.

I have to say the customer service I received since making the initial call last week has been very poor, possibly because I had a trade-in, possibly because they had the other buyer all along, possibly because I said from the outset that I'm a proper picky bd - not sure, but nowhere near the service I've had in the past from Arden (Maidstone) or Vines for example.

Now looking into releasing ourselves form the dreaded PCP on the sacrificial car, selling privately and sitting like 'coiled string' waiting to pounce for the next one which fits the bill. It took me 18 months to find the right M Roadster which I've had for 10 years now (picky bd), so patience will have to come into play. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of it!

Back to having many search windows open and just willing the next good low mileage one to appear... and planning upgrades and mods (tasteful of course) and Sunday Services.

To the new owner - well done, enjoy! If you are from around Kent by any chance drop me a PM, would love to see it.

I too was interested in that car too. In fact I first enquired about that car over two weeks ago. At that stage is was being prepped in their workshop and no pics were up on the site. Despite numerous phone calls and a visit I never saw the car. I called on the morning of the pics going online to be told that the car had sold an hour ago!!!!! The response from BMW Cobham has been st and I complained and received a feeble apology from them. It did look like a nice car in the pics. I had an apologetic call from one sales man who had forgotten to send me pics and a video, saying that the car was sold subject to a viewing this weekend and he knew nothing about the sale!!!!! Clearly BMW Cobham must have another income stream because they seem un interested in selling cars!!!!! fking useless!!!
Almost a carbon copy of what happened to me. I was told that a video has been sent but a new one was recorded anyway (why not re-send the original?) No responses until I sent an email giving them the opportunity to live up to their Sounds like they don't know their round parts from their pointy bits. I'm just deliberating how to 'communicate my disappointment' however I don't expect they will be too bothered or that it will make any difference.

Good shout Lord T - no that wasn’t offered or I would have taken it up. I think they probably had a better deal in the pipeline without a trade-in.

A bit of honesty and responses to my questions would have made all the difference. Sounds like they had a few bites on this car and whilst I appreciate how much time it would take to keep everyone up to date and informed, they shouldn’t then ram the “first class customer service” and outstanding customer experience rubbish at us if they are unable to or won’t deliver.

Leaves a bitter taste and renewed determination to find the right Car.

Thank you for those wise words Wills2 and I totally agree with you.

When the right one comes up I will be there and will do my utmost to secure it.

Let’s hope the exceptional customer experience will be first class as well.

I considered the Frozen edition car linked to earlier, but its over 48K miles so a bit too high on both miles and price for me. Looked at a blue limited 500 edition at BMW park Lane on Sunday and bought it!!! Pick up on Friday.
Congratulations - enjoy!
Let us know how you get on with it.

With a little bit of patience (not a lot) I found THE car!
Picked up a Mineral 2013 Comp pack with 21k on Saturday.
Horrible conditions driving home so I doubt the MPG I managed on that journey will be indicative of what to expect in the future ;-)
Absolutely loving it - the sound is so addictive, especially the blips on the downshifts.
Excited doesn't come close....
