About 4 years ago my son bought this car intending to make it a running project car, he drove it for a couple of years. Long story short it failed MOT & he moved house with girlfriend leaving it on his mothers drive.
Familiar story, new baby & living 50 miles away means it is slowly rotting, but currently eminently saveable.
I sold him my 2017 320 on the understanding he would sell Evo & give me the money. That hasn’t happened. Before long his mum will have had enough.
Apparently it runs & drives, but will fail MOT on rusty sills etc.
He tried to sell it spares / repairs on eBay, but had no luck.
I know nothing about older BMW’s, I’m a Porsche guy, I don’t want the car for myself, but is there merit in getting it repaired & then sell it (but beyond my skill & ability) or is there a market for it as is, if so what is it worth? Looks like eBay is the wrong place.

Thanks for your response, interestingly he had started the eBay auction at £4k as he also thought it may appeal to drifters / tuners

Its done around 120k miles, paint & interior are generally OK, its black & black leather, with history up to 2015 around when he bought it

All advice & thoughts much appreciated

ISWYM, but in his defence it is a small driveway & him being an aircraft technician making movies isn't his forte.
