M4 Comp in Lamborghini Verde Mantis
Discussion
M4 Comp is one of the cars on my shortlist to replace my 440 this summer. In fact, I'd say it's currently the front runner! This car at Alexanders Prestige could easily tempt me to jump sooner...

I love the colour, although I appreciate it's not exactly subtle. I think my dilemma is two-fold. I can get a newer car with the Comp Pack and Ultimate Pack for similar money. Of more concern, however, is whether it's prudent to buy an M car from a non-franchised dealer. I've always bought my cars (BMW, Porsche, Ferrari) from main dealers and it suits my play-it-safe attitude. Anyone got any thoughts on that point? Can you put a watertight BMW warranty on an M4 after it's bought? Thanks folks.

Thanks Smuler. The more I think about this, the more I want to buy from a BMW dealer. As you say, there's an abundance of low mileage AUC cars with great spec and a good selection of colours, albeit not 'day-glo' green. But this is going to be my daily driver so arguably that's no bad thing. Current short-list to replace my 440 is M4 or (stretch the budget a bit) and go M5 or M850i. When the showrooms re-open it'll be nice to actually have a proper look and test drive.

Thanks, but I don't think the new-shape M4 is my cup of tea. Interestingly my local BMW dealer phoned me last week and said BMW were offering a £4,000 incentive on the new M4, plus he hinted at additional dealer support on top of that, which surprised me given the car has only just launched. pincher said:

Probably because it’s so ugly, they can’t wait to get it out of the showroom. so that they don’t have to look at it any more Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
