Advice Needed on buying a new M5

Hi there all just sold my 996tt and thinking of getting a m5 e60. What i would like to know is:

1) common problems and buying tips...

2) difference between smg1 and smg2 gearbox??

3) fuel consumption.... and cost to full tank it...?

4) are they good cars? as im also getting a gallardo so i need an everyday car and im looking to spend 35000 on m5 so alot of haggling will be done!!!


5) and are they faster than the new rs4's???

well gallardo is goona be my weekend car and cruiser is just not my kinda car ... im only 26yrs not married so cruiser would be ideal for future. really like the m5 had a new 997 turbo for one month but really diddnt like it as i had a carrera 2 and 4s whilst waiting for my new turbo and when got into it rhe whole set up was the same interior etc.....

gearbox's a problem really?
so how much is it to fully de limit an m5?

and is bmw warranty anygood

whai an 06 plate m5 45000 miles ful bmwsh a years warranty left, with individual leather hot cold seat etc.... black in colour worth

thank everyone for your advice.... as its all needed im still looking around for a nice one john r's bmw is nice what colur interior is it and does it have the hot and cold seats?
also a import 06 plate with bmw is available fully loaded 45000mls whats it worth?
