I got in the CSL tonight to move it in preparation for selling it and instantly regretted my decision to sell.

It's such a special car. And I've had some brilliant motors in my time. It really is in many ways better than the GT3RS I had last year. It's certainly far more of an occasion than my current 997 Turbo.

I don't know if it's the noise, the trick CSL bits, the sheer rawness of the car, but it really is special.

It's certainly worthy of its own forum!!!

Now how can I tell the Mrs that I'm not going to sell after all?????

It's Mrs GG that is insisting I prune my collection. She has a point, we can hardly get in an out of the garage.

The CSL is an M3 CSL so yes, E46.

It's just it has that 'sense of occasion' so often refereed to that my 997 turbo doesn't. Its not the interior, its the little nuances, carbon fibre bits, engine noise etc that make it special before you've driven off. Then it's the out and out racer feel that makes you grin. Zinnnggggg, Zinnngggg!!!

Vince, have a go with the Gearbox. To drive SMG II well takes skill. DCT is practically an Auto in comparison.

Personally if you have experience of driving other powerful and / or racing cars or motorbikes I can't see why you can't master the SMG.

Well worth a go!
