I'm thinking of pulling some cash out of the 911 turbo and getting something cheaper. M3 CSLs look cheapish at the moment and should stand up well enough given their scarcity.

But what's it like living with one? I know I'm going to lose massive torque and hence 90mph top gear roll on, but that's not what they're all about.

Are they quiet enough to cruise a couple of hours in one at 100 on the motorway? What about reliability? I presume they're great fun to hoon about in? How are the brakes? I had an E36 M3 which was unmitigated rubbish in the braking department.

Oh, if anyone has one they want to chop for a peachy 2002 911 turbo, let me know, I might just be interested.

Oh god I've a feeling you've opened the floodgates with that jibe. A bit like my declaration to the Porsche boys that the GT3 I test drove was underwhelming compared with my turbo
