Are the prices of the watches from "trusted sellers" negotiable, or fixed in stone? I am interested in a watch that is some £550 cheaper in Germany than it is here in the UK, but it doesn't hurt to ask for al little extra discount smile

Thanks.

How did you enter negotiations? Did you just email with an offer?

Yes, just used the email contact form on C24 and most reply within 24hrs.

I usually ask for some additional images of the watch and make my offer in their currency and it usually goes...

Watch up for €5000
I offer €4000
They counter offer with a lowest price of €4750
I offer €4300 and can proceed immediately
They come back with €4450 delivered securely to U.K.

Everyone's happy.

I think the best I got was with a brand new solid gold Rolex that was just under 40% less than the cheapest one in the U.K. from an Italian Rolex AD.

The exchange rate seems to have scuppered such bargains now but high end jewellery still isn't shifting that quickly in some eurozone countries so bargains can be had. My mate just got a mint Exploer II with full set for €4000 delivered, which as far as I can tell is at least £500 less than the cheapest one in the U.K. for the same age.
Awesome, thanks. The watch is already cheaper than I can get in the UK, but I'll chance my arm biggrin

You should definitely barter. Chrono24 is just an advertising service, nothing more.

Be wary of Chrono24's use of the word "trusted".

I've read that already but it is sage advice, thanks.

Wouldn't be a PH post without pedantry laugh

The watch I want has a delivery time of 6 to 10 days - would this cause alarm?

This is the seller: https://www.uhrinstinkt.de/
I have found this on another site;

Online shop for luxury watches. On uhrinstinkt.de you will find a large selection of luxury watches, including Rolex, Omega, Breitling at particularly favorable conditions. Order safely and safely delivered home. On-site pick-up by appointment.

They appear to have a good rating on https://www.ekomi.de/bewertungen-uhrinstinkt.html and appear to have sold a fair few watches on Chrono24.

Chrono24 Trusted Seller since 2008
Chrono24 Premium Seller
Chrono24 Trusted Checkout, PayPal, credit card, bank wire, cash payment at our office
International customers welcome - we ship world-wide
They also use Trusted Checkout. I am unable to find a shop front image on Google Maps, but then Google Maps has no street views for the area anyway. Below is a screen shot from Satellite view.

Would you be put off by this?

I tried another seller on the site. Result is;

Offer price: €1719
Best price: €1704, which makes it around £1430 for a £2000 UK priced watch. I asked for more but the answer was no. Perhaps I am not good at this negotiation lark hehe

How do you know that I did not mean that the OP should trade camels for the watch?
Pedantry matters.
I was going to barter with a walnut whip, but I know they wont accept it frown

Watch purchased from Dominic. It arrives tomorrow. Painless (except the paying out of money hehe )) transaction with a friendly guy. I'll do a proper post when the watch arrives.
