Greetings! I have a Tag Carrera and also a Tag Connected, I managed to get one of the last at the launch.

When I bought it, Tag were stating that after two years, the 'founders' watches would be entitled to return the watch plus £1000 to get a special edition Tag Calibre.

It's coming up to two years since they were launched, does anyone remember this deal if so, what the latest is? I can't see anything from Tag.

Have a formal response from Tag, was surprised how quickly they responded:

"Dear Mr Quags,

Thank you for your enquiry.

After the two years’ warranty for a period of 3 months only, you can exchange and upgrade your watch for £1,100.00 to a special edition Carrera which will be only available for TAG Heuer Connected owners. The watch has an automatic 3-hands movement and resembles the design and materials the TAG Heuer Connected.
The exchange can be processed through any of our worldwide stores selling the connected watch or by contacting our UK support centre. Please note you will be required to have your guarantee card or some form of proof of purcase in order for exchange to take place.

Please find attached image displaying the special edition Carrera in comparrison to the TAG Heuer Connected 46mm.

Kind regards

Craig

TAG Heuer Connected Support"

They have confirmed it's the Calibre 5 mechanical watch. As much as it pains me, I'll probably do the upgrade then sell it on. The Connected won't be worth much secondhand I'm guessing.

Oh interesting thanks for the update!

The last page of that forum with the 46mm on someones wrist does look rather excellent. And unlike the 45mm it should be quite unique.

The real question with all this is what is the 46mm worth? I'd be £2,200 in after exchanging, and I'm sure it's not worth over £2,000.

In a couple of years will it be worth more? Tricky investment methinks.
