Auto-Quartz Tissot

I have recently acquired a Tissot Autoquartz PR100 like the below. This was a retirement gift to my father around 17 years ago. Unfortunately he passed away a few years later and my mum recently passed it on to me.
It seems that the internal capacitor is fubar and having read all I can find they appear to be obsolete. There are some reports of folk fitting a rechargeable MT920 cell with success. I wondered if anyone here may have some experience of this watch type.
To be honest it's not my usual type of thing but it was my dad's and I'd love to have it working alongside his old Seiko Sportmatic (his 21st birthday present) and his somewhat battered Seamaster Quartz.
