Brand New Rolex wanted

Hi All,

The time has come to purchase my first Rolex. I have in the current collection:

Omega Seamaster 2008
Omega Seamaster Aqua 1970's
A couple of Tag's
Many other fashion brands
A couple of Casio's
A few Seiko's

I've always wanted a Rolex.

I want brand new and want something that will hold it's value.

My all time favourite would be the Daytona in steel but unfortunately my pockets are not that deep right now!

I want something that is classic and steel.

So shall I just go for the Submariner steel with black face and date?

What about the Explorer and Explorer II ?

Other Rolex suggestions please?

Where is the cheapest place to purchase brand new? Airport?

Where can I get a discount if any?

Help, I'm a Rolex novice.

What is the main difference with these two watches.

I think I prefer the no-date versions.

OP here!

Thanks for all the input.

I looked and enquired at many London AD (as I work here) and they would not even entertain putting my name on the list. 12 months for non-date and 24 months for date!!

So I called the AD local to me, didn't occur to look locally, as I spend all my time in the City.....long story short, I'm on a list and it could be up to 12 months.

Fingers X, I will update you guys when I get it obviously.

The Hulk waiting list at RRP is 24 months!

That is from the research and AD dealers I have been talking to.

Really pleased with my Sub date, looks much better in the flesh and on the wrist. It just feels soooo good!
