I have some inheritance coming through and would like to spend some of it on a watch.

Been looking into 60s Omegas and Zeniths. Some nice gold dress watches around the 300-500 mark that look great value.

Anything else I should be looking at?

Thanks for your input.

Won’t be sold, so resale not an issue.

I already have a modern Longines, only reason I didn’t consider them.

Thanks guys, liked all of those models.

Something like this would be lovely:

Thanks guys.

I'll report back when I find something I like the look of.

The JLC is nice, but I feel I would be better picking up an Omega in nicer condition, rather than stretching.

Seems these 2 are pretty much the same. Is it worth the gamble going private, for a fairly big saving?

Nice.

Made an offer on the Omega above from the private seller.

Thanks Mike, appreciate your input.

It seems all the cal. 1030 I looked at were the same. Not the best quality photos though, I admit.

From my understanding it's not the most revered movement, but the watch looks good value all things considered.
