Has anyone seen one of these in the flesh?

Also, this might fit your bill:

I tried one on (the white face one though as above) and it was amazing on the wrist. Was in the sale at Ernest Jones and something like £3,900 down from £5,500ish but I bottled it in the end.
You've got the measure of me, I do like that Omega. The only thing that I am not sure about is the matte finish.https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-globemaster-...

Yep, tried one on in Copenhagen - I really like it, and it's not a watch I've really looked at much as I usually don't particularly love roman numerals or square cases
But admittedly it's a really nice watch, wears vert well and the dial looks great in the light
I am in London imminently, I might call into the boutique and take a look. But admittedly it's a really nice watch, wears vert well and the dial looks great in the light

Definitely worth seeing in person mate.I can't recall if it was on here or another forum where a couple of people were saying for brands like that it's best to buy pre-loved due to the value drop off?

Tried one on in Meadowhall, but much prefer the white dial. Suits that watch better, is easier to read and just looks so crisp. I'v a large wrist but still looked ok Imo. The bracelet is lovely. And at 6k it's not silly money.

I like white dial watches generally, but it's a blue I want.

So; did you try on the medium version?
I generally like quite a chunky watch but with this I think I would lean towards the smaller one. Maybe because of the square shape? Don't think the medium has a date though.
Therein lies the problem. A daily wearer needs a date. Otherwise I would favour the smaller one.I generally like quite a chunky watch but with this I think I would lean towards the smaller one. Maybe because of the square shape? Don't think the medium has a date though.

Needs a date otherwise yes.I do always wonder about GSs though, it is a bit like owning a Lexus?

GS has a more niche following, but the quality is amazing, on the cases, dials etc, plus you dont need to pay Rolex money. The dial on the SBGK005 is amazing, I have one.
Other nice blue ones include the 2 below, which are very sought after as well, especially the Peacock

If you want to see other dial colours, the 2 below I own

They look very good and on paper they are superb value for money. I cannot say they light my fire though.Other nice blue ones include the 2 below, which are very sought after as well, especially the Peacock

As this is PH, where budgets don't exist and it's customary to offer something completely different to what the OP asked for; im going to offer a blue dialled watch, with date, that is neither a Rolex or a Cartier...
Probably way outside what you want to pay, but i think its stunning.
It's an Odysseus and a snip at Euro28000.
Yes nice. Yes over budget.Probably way outside what you want to pay, but i think its stunning.

Those Omegas look great, but I fail to see how someone would cross shop between them and the Cartier above?
Because the the OP said 'I’ve tentatively been looking for a blue dial watch that isn’t a Rolex."Wills2 said:

To be fair, I don’t see those watches as being interchangeable. Both very nice, but the Cartier is a smart watch whereas the Omega is a Sports watch.
The Santos is very much a sports/activity watch, the original in many ways and it bares the name of the pilot that commissioned Cartier to make him a wrist watch so he could use it whilst flying in 1904.However whilst the Cartier's great granddaddy was a pilot watch it has morphed into more of a jewellery piece. Very lovely, but very shiny. The Omega is more roughty-tufty I am sure you'd agree.

I tried one on today.
Lovely, but far too large which makes it look a bit dated to be honest.
The medium size was much better, but no date and no blue dial.
Can't comment on the size as always difficult to tell in a photo but that watch just screams quality to me. It just looks so well made.Lovely, but far too large which makes it look a bit dated to be honest.

Think I mentioned earlier in the thread that I want the medium white dial.
I'm sure they do do a medium blue? Can you not relax your date requirement?!
The medium model is a superb looking watch. But at this point I do want the date function.
