Not sure how long the Stowa will be around for, but am really taken with it and love Stowa anyway.

I must admit, Tudor is not a brand I'm keen on at all.



Having said that, this does look nice but not something I'd want to spend three times the amount of the watches above on.

Should say £1k tops really.

Well I only noticed it last week by accident. It didn't show in their emals or Facebook page as far as I'm aware.

Everytime Cardshark puts up a picture of his Marine Original, I go off looking at the Stowa site again. That's how I noticed the bronze one last week.

Have two Stowas, a hand-wound Flieger Klassik and an Antea 1919 and love both of them. Totally agree, their customer service is excellent.

Yema have been popping up a lot on my radar recently.



The bronze/bordeaux looks good and a nice size at 39mm. Will read a bit more about their own in-house movements which sounds interesting.

Nothing wrong with the brand, it's just one of those brands that does nothing for me. Just wouldn't want to buy one or wear one.

You can probably tell that I’m not into brands, the product is the key for me rather than the badge.

I appreciate Porsche but wouldn't want to own one.

I like smaller less obvious brands made in smaller numbers. Resale isn't an issue. I like different.

Last watch I bought was a Guinand to give you more of an insight. I rarely buy watches from shops.

After my tax bill and new radiator/clutch master cylinder purchase for the TVR it's looking like a tight contest between the Stowa and the Yema.

Too close to call on those two.

Indeed. Resale isn't anything that enters my mind, but I've never spent more than £2k on a watch. Maybe if I'd sunk £50k into something I might be more concerned about depreciation.

Thanks for that, but thinking about it, even at half price I'm not sure I'd want to have one after seeing the bronze C65.

Well I didn't go for anything bronze for the time being as Yema have a sale on and the Superman in Mysterious Blue was too good to miss.

Well after six months and two other watch purchases, I kept going back to this and just ordered one:





Only downside is the delivery backlog, end of August.

Ordered the bronze Marine Original, but am still waiting for it to arrive. They originally said end of August, but I imagine it's due anytime now really.
