Yep, it's my first post for ages!
Have a long service award from work of £1250 & am happy to add up to £750 of my own cash. Not materialistic in the slightest & cannot think of anything other than a watch to be a lasting memory of my 25 year sentence...
I am thinking of a bracelet rather than a strap, not too bothered about potential for increase in value (it'll be a momento) & won't be a daily (I'm quite happy with my Samsung smart watch for this role). Have looked at secondhand websites & am confused as to whether they offer good value. Have been looking at TAG-Heuer because the design appeals
Have been lurking on this forum for a few weeks & am impressed by the knowledge & opinions expressed.
Time to seek your advice - pictures & web links would be appreciated! Help me spend my boss's cash, please...

Thank you all for your advice (& to one for their congratulations!). There's some great looking kit.
Keep the ideas coming, I'm in no rush to make up my mind & left field suggestions are also welcome. Perhaps I shouldn't limit myself to a bracelet either.
Given the 10pm curfew it means that I won't have a sore head on Saturday and Sunday mornings so will see what you come up with. Are there any online or high street sellers (I'm in Clevedon if anyone can suggest a decent independent in the south west, always prefer to buy away from chains) that you would particularly recommend?
There has mention on this & other threads of negotiation on price - what is 'normal'? 10%? I don't want to pay over the odds nor to insult a vendor in the current climate.
Thanks again!

Thanks for all the help folk. Pulled the trigger on a 2008 TAG Heuer Carrera from Dominic Hackett today. It looks new despite its 12 years & was substantially less than the current equivalent.
Dominic was recommended elsewhere on Pistonheads & I found him a very pleasant person to deal with. As stated earlier, I am a newbie as far as purchasing quality watches; Dominic explained the history of the watch & gave me confidence that his online description was spot on. A low value transaction (probably) for Hacketts but I was made to feel important & was not rushed.
Can't wait for it to be delivered tomorrow!

Thanks! Dominic delivered. Big time. Nice timepiece. I wasn't interested in investment potential, more in a quality watch to mark long service. The watch looks brand new despite being 12 years old.
Thanks to all on this thread for your advice, I wish I could have chosen all your recommendations!
