There seem to be five models coming, based on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.
Will be interesting to see ....

Am I missing something? None of those look like a Fifty.
They haven't been released yet, not even a teaser.

This is a render by Monochrome:

They are expected to be powered by the Swatch Sistem 51 calibre, which is quite an interesting calibre in its own right.

Quite like them... Pacific or Arctic for me.

£340 is a bit toppy tho!
Me too!

I was hoping for a FF Barakuda inspired one, but I'm glad they build them with a 42mm case and not the new usual 45mm of the FF (FF Barakuda is only 40mm).
I will probably get them both!

The price is ok by me, especially considering the Sistem51 calibre, which is not a cheap quartz. Hopefully the higher price, the lesser know Blancpain brand, that many people find them hideous, the hype that has cooled off and the fact that there are only 5 watches will deter one or two so I can get mine sooner!

Yeah I thought the same, I like the colourways and movement detail but for some reason they seem more plasticky than the Omegas. Side on at least.

Plus I've just seen the price, pretty punchy for a disposable watch.
But isn't that what makes them special? A 1:1 copy, sanctioned by Blancpain/Omega but made out of plastic and in funny colour schemes?

And why do you consider it a disposable watch? I have plenty of 30 y.o. Swatches, both quartz and mechanical movements that still work and I wear them, even if they are well worn.

A friend of mine started queuing at 2am in Basel. He texted me to be around the 30th in the queue. Haven’t heard back from him. He is probably sleeping laugh

Went to the Swatch Store in Basel yesterday, they had no BP FF, but all MoonSwatches except Neptune, which is the only one I still want to get.

Had a look and decided that I want the blue Atlantic and not the white/grey Antarctic I initially wanted. Let's see what I get... But the others I have no interest in buying.

I honestly love it... Am I going to wear it to dinner at Locatelli with one of my supermodel dates? Probably not. But I wouldn't the Swatch either!
And why not? I wouldn‘t wear it in any formal circumstance, but I have no problem wearing an inexpensive watch to my regular dinners at Locatelli with my supermodel dates.
The woman I (used to) date are not impressed by an expensive watch.

Not expecting to land this today, planned to visit both Oxford St and Covent Garden on a bit of a whim before a london meeting.

6 security guys, 2 staff and 3 shoppers in Oxford St and a delivery must have just arrived. Had all but 1 of the Mission to's and Blancpain's in.

Toss up between Pluto and this.

Snared the Antarctic, 1 of only 2 delivered. Love it!

By the time I left shop full and people queing for buy. Very lucky.

One small things that itches my tooth beyond reasonable doubt:

Why couldn't they give a depth of 100m/330ft. I know it is mathematically not accurate, but all watches do this. My Seamaster is 300m/1000ft, a pelagos 39 has 200m/660ft, etc....
And why 91m? Usually watches are usually measured in ATM, whereas 10 ATM ≈ 100 m. Is it really only tested, or rather stood up to a test of 91m and not 100m? Could it not cope with an other 8.66m for a full 100m water depth?? Possible, but I doubt...

Will this prevent me from getting one? No, I will definitely get one, preferably now in black rather than blue.

The depth measurement of 50 Fathoms is 91 metres. 1 Fathom is 1.82 metres.

This being a Swatch version of the Fifty Fathoms... get it?

Nice little detail I think smile

I was pleasantly surprised this was still running after beeinv un the drawer for 3 days. Looked it up an it has a power reserve of 90 hours!

I really like it, much more than anticipated and it gets lots of wrist time. Also I have grown to like the strap that comes with it.

Normally I like smaller watches on my petite wrist, but the watch wears quite nicely. I don‘t feel „overwatched“ at all.
A shorter single pass Nato or MN strap would reduce the slight bulk that comes from the oem strap.

For those that have one take a UV lamp to the back of the case for a little easter egg wink

Got a cheap all black nato in the correct 22mm of amazon to put on the black FF. Not convinced… will probably cut off the secondary loop to get rid of some ballast. The oem strap is of quite good quality.

Fun little watch for casual weekend / beach duties. Was on the fence (still am to a degree, when a casio does it just as well for less). That said, it’s got character and more practical now on a rubber strap.

I recently realized that the Antarctic is rather different than the other ones. It has no date and a different logo...
Know I want one as well hehe

BTW. I find the oem nato straps rather good, tbh. I fitted a cheap 22mm all black nato strap from amazon and cut the double pass loop off, but honestly, I prefer it stock. Unlike the moonswatch, they are rather nice on the straps they come with.
Personally I'm not a fan of the rubber straps shown here... I want to try some tropic and/or perlon straps myself.
