A friend of mine is looking for a watch and while searching for Tag Heur's etc he saw the Rolex Daytona and fell in love it. So now he is looking for something with a similar look in his price range of £1500 - £2000 price. Would like to hear your recommendations please

Wow Rotary must be doing well with that watch it's a stunning looking thing, also if I need any spare parts for my Daytona then I'll be going to Rotary for them.

They are fantastic watches, I used to sell them a few years ago at around 50-60% off RRP and they were fantastically built, the best selling model was one they made a la JLC reverso. Supplier passed away unfortunately and now I only carry more mid to high end watches. Anyone know where I can get a good price (for someone in the trade) or pass my friend directly to them (if they are unwilling to do business with dealers).

The Tudor looks great aswell, not trying to be a 100% replica and they have a good reputation for quality although I've never sold one myself.

Thanks for the suggestion of Ikepod, it look an interesting watch with some unique design touches. I shall suggest it to him although I think he is a little convervative for such a watch.

I cannot believe people buy fake watches for x hundred pounds when you can have one of these for £70. That is incredible value. Unfortunately not in the price range my friend is looking to spend tough so will point him in the direction of the Tudor, any other suggestions?

I think it's a similar story with fake watches, the person purchasing might aspire to owning the real deal one day?

on/off topic - would Rolex not have an issue about established companies such as Rotary copying the basic design?

Or can they just see it as 'alternative advertising'?
