Hello All,

First post in this section of the forum, I am after a daily watch to stand in for an old Seiko Kinetic on occasion.

My requirements are as follows:

- Must have day/date function
- Automatic movement
- Steel bracelet
- Must feel substantial, but not an oversize case
- Budget under £1K

I have been looking on the web and came across this for £780 at Jura Watches

Any opinions or alternatives?

Thanks for the suggestions, looks like trying to find one at Goldsmiths and see what can be done on price.

I am still waiting to get my hands on one of these, so I can see it in the flesh. I am off to Dublin next week and there are a few jewellers I know which stock a good range of Oris watches.

As it happens I was in Mallorca for the last 2 weeks, looked everywhere for Oris but could not find any, I did however come across a nice Hamilton Khaki Aviator at half price, even with the poor Euro it made it a good buy.
