I've just bought a BMW 5 series sport leather interior.

The seats are the same width as the 3 series E46 Touring that I'm (well, somebody else really) determined to nail them into but there are a couple of problems.

REAR.
I'm perfectly happy to do away with the split/fold-flat estate seat but need someone to:

(a) Strip the upholstery off the inner wheel-arches to allow the full-width seat-back to fit properly without it looking like my dog did it (as it would if I attempt it)
.
(b) Make up and fit an upholstered panel to cover the springs/webbing etc that would otherwise be visible from the load area.

FRONT.
Both sets of seats (old and "new") are mounted in the same way i.e. Two captive bolts at the front and two threaded holes at the back.

The back 2 fit exactly but the front 2 are "out" by an inch or so and would require 2 small plates drilled accordingly and welded to the frame.

Alternatively, the existing captive bolts could be ground off and others welded on in the right position.

The seats are electric and would need a feed.

Anybody up for it/ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot Ian.
I've just emailed Gary (mentioning your recommendation) and await his reply.
