What's this (WWII?) plane that flew over us on Sunday?

Wasn't sure if it was too small to be a Lancaster. I have very sparse knowledge of planes really. Sounded amazing though.

Any ideas where she was going? It was pretty amazing seeing it appear in the distance above the Emley Moor transmitter.

Ah OK cheers. I thought it would be a bit bigger! An awesome sight though. I wonder if it was the same one that flew over York a few years back when the Tour De France went through? That was the day my mum died in one of the hospices so I'll always remember it flying over...
