Hi all

Just bought tickets for Flying Legends in July for myself and my young son (10), anyone been, any tips for the day?

Interestingly the choice was either RIAT, fast jets etc., or warbirds and his choice was most definitely warbirds which meets my approval.

Thanks and more replies please smile

I didn’t mention I’ve paid a little more than a normal ticket, parking is right there next to the flight line and food/drink is supplied all day (albeit I’m driving!)

I understand a flight line walk is also included along with the package which we are both really looking forward to yes

If it’s the Gold Pass enclosure you’ve got, I think you have to buy the food and drinks, so it could get expensive? We considered it last year, but in the end it seemed a bit steep for what you got. Private bogs would be nice though must admit...
I bought ‘Airside’ VIP Hospitality for both of us through twynhamtours which includes

General admission to IWM Duxford and all available exhibition areas
Over three hours of Legendary display flying featuring over 50 historic aircraft
Priority VIP car parking close to the VIP Suite
Private luxury suite and balcony
Dedicated event hostess
Tea/coffee and pastries served on arrival
Complimentary access to the Flight Line Walk (Saturday morning)
Canapes & Prosecco reception
Gourmet buffet lunch served with a choice of wine
English afternoon tea
Event souvenir programme
Complimentary bar: Wine, beer and soft drinks

I hope it includes a private toilet!

Ah so it's not the Gold Pass thing - sounds awesome, Enjoy!
I'm sure we will.

I was really pleased my 10 year old was more interested in watching piston rather than jets. He has a 1/24 Airfix Hurricane hanging in his bedroom I made some years ago and it's his favourite of the lot.

Might still be worth going up to the flight line for some of the displays - if it's the balcony I'm thinking of, it's quite a way back - on the AirSpace hangar?
You may well be right yes

The balcony on the airspace hanger looks enclosed on google maps, not sure if that's the one or not shown on the info from the event company?

Regardless, will be a great day (with decent toilets hehe ) a half decent view and clsoe parking etc.
