Four Winns vs Maxum Vs Searay

Okay, bayliners are a lot better these days apparently, but they still have the binliner jokes attached to them. 
Bayliner, Maxum and Searay are all made by Brunswick Marine. They all look kind of similar to me. The Maxums look more fashionable with the brushed aluminium etc, but there are loads of them about around me.
Looking on American boat forums, Four Winns owners seam to rate them inline with Searay. Also the Four Winns have Volvo Penta engines not MerCruiser. So anyone been on one or owned one? Do they have a good reputation like Sea Ray?

hmmmm.... i don't really deal with these on a day-to-day basis, but have you considered an older Fairline or Princess as an alternative?... The Princess 266 Riviera is fantastic boat and well suited to the choppy UK-waters.

Well came close to buying an old 20" Four Winns but had to admit to my self that smaller and newer was what I really need. Looking like I may be an owner of a Maxum 1800MX 2005 with only 15 hours on it as of tomorrow.
