Having a fiorentina pizza for dinner (that's tea or supper for you southern bankers).

Going to add a raw egg to it for extra yummyness.

When should I put the egg on?

Pizza takes 10 mins at 180oC.

Want it cooked with a runny yolk.

Ta.

No. No it isn't. Dinner is different to tea which is nothing to do with supper. Three separate, individual meals there.

Ordered a pizza in a restaurant near Le Mans after the qualifying a few years ago.
It was presented to me with a egg in the middle, put me right off.

Egg has no place on a pizza.

Trick is to cook it just right - hence the post.

Too runny and it's a bit 'sloppy'.

Too hard and it goes rubbery (no Chinese jokes please).

I'm going in at 5 mins.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Quite excited now.

Egg on Pizza is brilliant but I think the superquick stone baking ovens mean they cook perfectly. Now the Idea of Egg on a Pizza reminds me why I need to get to France.

No STOP!

A boiled egg is about 5 mins. You'll be cracking this open, so the cooking time is far less. You'll end up with a big lump of solidified egg puddle.

I'm not yoking.

OK - 3 mins.

Using fan 170oC.

Bit tense now.

Anyone got Delia's phone number?

LOL, easy.

Just go for 3 mins and if it looks a smidge under then just switch to grill and it'll give the egg a quick flash.

Love eggs on top of a pizza btw

Munching as I type.

Nom nom nom.

Remarkably it took 8 mins to get them just right.

This cooking malarky is harder than it looks.

Dinner = Lunch

Tea = Well, tea. To be eaten around 6pm.

Supper = Something you have before going to bed.
