Best steak in London?

I'm familiar with Gaucho's and Hawksmoor (and probably slightly favour the former), but where else in London specialise in amazing steaks?

Thanks for suggestions, it's part of an anniversary weekend package I'm putting together, so I'm going to try something a bit different...Beast!

I completely agree with you - in general. However this is one night out of 3 and the other two will give us some privacy. The reason for choosing Beast was to do something new for both of us, and it's conveniently close to where we're staying. It looks like it should be a memorable meal, prices look on a par with the others mentioned so far.

After 15 years and having me to herself for 3 days, maybe she will want some company anyway!

Many thanks for your detailed and well considered thoughts, they will help prepare us for the evening! We've got 3 days in each other's back pockets without the kids so this meal out will be more about the "experience" than a "date". We have quite a lot of "nice" meals but fine dining can be a bit samey so Beast sounds like it's going to be a bit different from the other meals we'll be having over the weekend.
