Why do you UK people call Squash = Juice?

I still don't get it... whenever I ask someone for Juice/orange juice they bring me damn squash , even in fine establishments they usually look at me like I'm weird and they bring me the God damn disgusting squash even I would never ask for such thing...
When someone offers me tea/coffee or juice in their house I say sure to the juice= but they bring me the squash thing...
I'm confused...

Seriously wtf? How do you call 100% pure orange fruit juice for example? squeezed from actual fruit not some junk you mix up with tap water..
