Best High End / Fine Dining Indian Restaurant - London

Hi,

So me and my partner are both Indian and naturally we've tended to sway away going to many Indian restaurants, especially with the vast array of different cuisines on offer and well, we get great Indian food at home.

However it's long intrigued us as to just what high end Indian restaurants do to the what are classic dishes which makes 'Michellin Star' status. As just from brief scoping of the menus there doesn't appear to be much in it. So we want to give one a try.

So, please recommend the best high end Indian restaurant, ideally in Central London but really anywhere up to Zone 3 would be fine.

This is on the 'to visit' list after I saw photos of the dishes from a friend who went. However the dishes seem very much quirky and unusual e.g WATERMELON GINGER SHARBAT MAKHNI MACARON

I'm more so after somewhere offering more traditional/recognisable dishes but with the fine dining / high end element/twist added to it.

Waiting for suitable occasion to visit Vineet, think it'd be a nicer affair if a group of us went than just us two.
