So we're going to Shelsley Walsh tomorrow for the Classic event.

Persuaded the missus that we don't need to take a picnic, we'll eat at the restaurant.

Now I've never been to Shelsley. Vaguely assuming it's like Prescott where there's a decent eatery.

Am I right? Or is burgers from a van?

Yes, it was fine.
The food is not quite as good as Prescott, especially the salads, but it was fine. Plenty of seating in and out, and a bar across the courtyard. Several bands, as this is one of the year's big meetings.
The track is faster than Prescott. Different in that one can only view from one side. Good viewing from the Crossing, unless one wants to see prangs in which case the top esses would be better but not worth the extra walk imho.
Did appreciate that the spectators had more thought for those behind than the prats at Prescott who insist on standing up and blocking the view.

Will probably go again.
