Birmingham recommendations

Flying from BHX next week and will have an afternoon / evening to pass before flight early next morning. Any recommendations for somewhere decent to eat, within say 20 or 30 minutes, for a family, kids aged 8 and 12 but not fussy. Don't fancy Indian night before a long haul flight, not keen on chain restaurants. Do enjoy a good pub. Cheers,
