I have no affiliation with the company, but credit where credit’s due, these little packs of spices and sauce are really good, if you can’t be arsed cooking properly. Had a tarka dall last night, added some grilled chicken and fresh spinach and it was bloody delicious.

£1.45 at Sainsbury’s (which is half-price), other retailers are available.

They say they serve 2-3, but in reality it's less than one portion of takeaway curry. The whole thing, with 2 chicken breasts, comfortably fitted on my plate with a portion of rice, whereas a takeaway container needs to go on the plate in two installments.
Fair enough. That’s still getting on for 1000 calories on that enormo-plate smile

I’ve found the spice tailor kits fairly bland and unimpressive, these are far superior - https://tastesmiths.com/
Same same but different, isn’t it. If I’m going to have to chop my ingredients and cook for half an hour then I’m going to skip tastesmiths and make my own. I’m basing that on Sally and Steph cooking the madras. “Here are the onions we cooked earlier on to speed things up (20 minutes for the rogan josh video), now cook the tomatoes, now cook the chicken for 20 minutes” indeed. I’m a busy man! tongue out

For anyone cooking these - it makes a big improvement if you brine the chicken for a few hours first.
I’m surprised at that... the whole thing only takes 10 minutes to cook, there’s no time for the chicken to dry out. Might have to give it a try.

For gawd’s sake don’t look at what a ‘serving size’ is on any other product.

I doubt I’ll ever recover from one (one!) Jaffa cake being a serving.

There are hundreds (literally) of pizza/kebab/curry places here with the same menu. Their descriptions are exactly the same, for example:

Madras - A popular Indian masala which is just plain hot

Word for word! That (and the other curries) description is word for word on a load of places that do kebab, curry, pizza nad fried chicken.
...
Just odd that they have the same description. Like they all get the pastes/recipies from the same subscription.
Googling that they all seem to be in Liverpool (and there aren’t that many). Which suggests to me either the same ownership and/or they’ve gone to the same ‘build a menu’ template.

I googled it too and it only brings up a fraction of them
I was hoping to find the source of that authentic takeaway taste so you could buy it by the bucket smile

I always thought the difference was ghee.
